B.J.Haga in his Customary 'Adat' juridical procedures on Noesa Penida (1922, p.460-462) adds an annex (D) in which Punggawa Nengah Patra, March 1922, wrote a short essay on (the Bali Aga and) Nusa Penida version of Balinese. Annex V. (p.454) Differences in language. In Kintamani as well as on Noesa Penida, language shows different word forms. With regards to Noesa Penida, the current poenggawa has started research into this issue, and the result of his investigations can be found in in annex D of the present writing.

There are many words in the language of the Balinese people of Noesa Penida, which are different from the language of the Balinese on mainland Bali, as is illustrated in below table [entries sorted alphabetically].
